Missed a few weeks. Oh well. I am starting to actually enjoy blending "Christmas" tunes and familiar worship tunes in the same set. The last few weeks have been great. Christmas Eve will be a "Best of" the last few weeks.

Sunday Setlist Review 11.23.09
Hey there. Great morning! Overall happy with how things went. This congregation is diversified but leans toward traditional contempoary worship if that makes sense. Only the solid gold biggies seem to work well when it comes to newer songs. This week was mostly "older songs".
BAND:
Larami - Keys
Carl - Percussion
Jenny - Vocals
Rich - Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
MAIN WORSHIP SET:
TRADING MY SORROWS
SHOUT TO THE LORD
AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS
YOU ARE MY KING
OFFERING: IT IS WELL
CLOSING: EVERLASTING

Sunday Setlist Review 11.08.09
I waited a while to put this out because I had a lot to digest from this Sunday. Without boring you with details let's just say a lot of lessons learned! The actual worship set went well for the most part. Congregationally I feel like God is softening some hearts and moving people closer to Him!
BAND:
Larami - Keys
Carl - Percussion
Jenny - Vocals
Rich - Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
MAIN WORSHIP SET:
HAPPY DAY - This song has grown on me enough to try to teach it to the congregation. It didn't go over that well. In retrospect it is probably not the right song for this point in time. So it is going way on the back burner for now.
MIGHTY TO SAVE - This song seems to take on a life of it's own. The biggest challenged was to stay focused becuase I had a lot on my mind due to events that had taken place between rehearsal and the service.
HOW GREAT THOU ART - Very traditional version of this. We lowered it down one step from rehearsal because I sounded like a wounded dog during the chorus. Played it in G and it was great.
REVELATION SONG - A repeat from last week. This church loves this song. I love this song and we are not alone. This song will be going away for a little while unless God has other plans.
OFFERING: NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD: Traditional fun version of this. I am going to keep hymns in the mix due to a large variation in ages in our church.
CLOSING: We had planned to do Everlasting God but our Pastor felt that playing the iWorship for At The Foot of the Cross at the last minute was the way to go and I was cool with that.

Sunday Setlist Review 11.01.09
I was excited/nervous this week because of the addition of a female voice to the worship team. It is nice to add some variety to Sunday morning vocals.
Band:
Larami - Keys
Carl - Percussion
Jenny - Vocals
Rich - Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
Open The Eyes of my Heart - This Paul Baloche classic is always a great call to worship/focusing-in type song. Would love to have full drumset on this one. First time I have played this song at this church. Congregation was familiar with it though.
Everlasting God - This song was fun and you've got to love the build up of this song - with the "waiting" of the verse - the statement of Hope in the pre-chorus and the outright praise of the chorus! Key made the verse a little low - may raise it a step next week.
Revelation Song - Was confident out of practice on this song which has become a radio/worship classic overnight. It was very close to the congregation before I came along - It went well though, except for a lyric flub on my part! I got too carried away! Will do this song often.
Everlasting - This is one fo my all-time favorite worship songs and this church has taken to it quickly. I will give it a rest for a while, but will be an often used tool in the tool box. The line . . . "Adopting those who call upon your name" is particularly powerful!
Offering: The River - Doerksen
Closing: Your Love is Amazing
